Clynelish is a coastal Highland distillery situated in Brora that is highly prized by blenders and enthusiasts alike for its unique, waxy mouthfeel and maritime character.
History
The original distillery was founded in 1819 by the Marquess of Stafford, but the current modern facility was built in 1967 directly across from the old buildings to meet the growing global demand for its distinctive spirit.
Signature Whisky
The Clynelish 14 Year Old is the definitive expression of the distillery, standing out as a true individual among Highland malts with its complex balance of sweetness and sea air.
Tasting Notes
The nose reveals a fragrant combination of candle wax, sugar, and a faint hint of floral perfume, while the palate is exceptionally smooth and oily with flavours of orange zest, dry saltiness, and a touch of white pepper.
