Glen Ord is a historic Highland distillery that serves as the exclusive home of The Singleton of Glen Ord, known for its exceptionally balanced and slowly crafted single malt whiskies.
History
Founded in 1838 by Thomas Mackenzie, the distillery is situated on the Edge of the Black Isle and remains one of the few in Scotland to continue malting its own barley on-site using its own traditional drum maltings.
Signature Whisky
The Singleton of Glen Ord 12 Year Old is the flagship expression, celebrated for its rich and accessible character which is achieved through a long fermentation process and slow distillation in traditional copper pot stills.
Tasting Notes
The nose is scented with toasted nuts and rich fruit alongside hints of honey, while the palate is smooth and medium-bodied with flavors of dark berries, brown sugar, and a delicate ginger spice on the finish.
