Distillery
Glenallachie is an independently owned Speyside distillery that has surged in popularity due to its rich, honeyed spirit and world-class wood management program.
History
The distillery was originally built in 1967 by Mackinlay McPherson to provide spirit for blends, but it entered a transformative new era in 2017 when it was acquired by a consortium led by the legendary master distiller Billy Walker.
Signature Whisky
The Glenallachie 12 Year Old is the cornerstone of the range, matured in a complex combination of Pedro Ximénez sherry, Oloroso sherry, and virgin oak casks to create a bold and textured profile.
Tasting Notes
The nose reveals layers of heather honey, cinnamon, and butterscotch, while the palate is thick with flavours of raisins, mocha, and orange zest that lead into a long finish of dark chocolate and warming spices.
