Speyburn is a hidden gem of Speyside, nestled in a steep wooded glen on the northern edge of Rothes and famous for its classic Victorian architecture and commitment to traditional methods.
History
Founded in 1897 by John Hopkins to coincide with Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee, the distillery was designed by the renowned architect Charles Doig and famously began production in a snowstorm to ensure its first vintage was dated 1897.

Tasting Notes
The nose offers a fresh and clean bouquet of green apples, floral notes, and a hint of lemon, while the palate is medium-bodied with a delicate balance of butterscotch, sweet malt, and a long, smooth finish with a touch of peat smoke.
