The Glenlivet is a legendary Speyside producer known as the single malt that started it all, famous for its elegant, floral spirit and its status as one of the best-selling whiskies in the world.
History
Founded in 1824 by George Smith, it was the first distillery in the region to secure a legal license after the Excise Act, famously winning the exclusive right to call itself The Glenlivet to distinguish its superior quality from competitors.
Signature Whisky
The Glenlivet 12 Year Old is the classic expression of the distillery’s house style, having been matured in a combination of European and American oak casks to develop its renowned smoothness.
Tasting Notes
The nose is remarkably fresh and summery with distinct notes of tropical pineapple and pear, while the palate is delicately balanced with flavors of creamy vanilla and honey that lead into a long, smooth finish.
