History
The distillery was officially founded in 1843 by William Matheson, who famously installed second-hand gin stills that were much taller than traditional onion-shaped whisky stills to create a lighter spirit.
Signature Whisky
The Glenmorangie Original 10 Year Old is the flagship expression of the distillery, matured in first and second-fill American white oak casks to develop a perfect balance of sweetness and complexity.
Tasting Notes
The nose is a garden of citrus and ripening peaches softened by vanilla, while the palate is a burst of flowery fruitiness that gives way to a clean and salivating finish with hints of orange and peach.
